Read the full address
Check the complete hostname in the address bar. A name inside a page title or image is not the domain. For example, wwwgod55.net and god55.net are different domains; the letters “www” are part of the first name.
Match the source to the claim
Use the regulator’s own record to check a licensing claim, and the company’s source for an operator statement. Compare the exact domain, company name, licence number and status. A link from another site provides evidence of a relationship, not conclusive ownership.
Check time and context
A historical redirect may no longer exist. A registered domain may be parked, transferred or unused. The 86-domain research directory therefore labels evidence types rather than treating every name as an active official site.
Keep account details on the operator’s site
This guide never requests a gambling password or payment. Its account links take you to the reference website in a separate tab. Read the destination address before entering account information.
